Bill Butler, CIC, CISR, CWCA
Founder
Bill Butler is president of Butler & Associates Insurance Agency Inc. and founder of Butler Vet Insurance, focusing on insurance for the veterinary and pet services industry.
He spent twelve years in the military with the Minnesota Army National Guard and US Army, serving in various roles both in Minnesota and 101st Airborne Division, Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, before entering the insurance industry.
He is active in his local business community, veterinary associations, and Rotary Club, and is passionate about giving back to others. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he and his wife, Shannon, reside in Burnsville, Minnesota.
Today, Bill's team serves in a different role, protecting their customers with the same level of drive and dedication he had in the military. Since 2004 when Bill joined his parents at their independent insurance agency, he has made insurance education and protecting everything his clients have worked so hard for his number one priority.
Tyler Jeffries, CISR
Agent
Tyler Jeffries joined Butler Vet Insurance in 2021 and is dedicated to helping veterinary and pet services professionals protect the businesses they have worked so hard to build. Prior to entering the insurance industry, Tyler worked in field services within the environmental industry, where he developed a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach that continues to serve his clients today.
Tyler earned his Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation and is actively involved in the insurance industry as Chairman of the Young Agents Committee for the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers Association (Big I Minnesota). He attended Minnesota State College Southeast and Winona State University.
Originally from Albertville, Minnesota, Tyler now resides in Mayer with his wife, Sarah, their daughter, Maddyn, their dogs, Olive and Harvey, and their cat, Peach. Outside of the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
A passionate Minnesota sports fan, Tyler especially enjoys cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Wild. Tyler is committed to building lasting relationships with clients and helping them protect what matters most through personalized service, trusted advice, and dependable insurance solutions.
Cheryl Austion, CISR, Account Manager
Account Manager
Cheryl has been an Account Manager with Butler & Associates Insurance Agency since December 2019, licensed in Property & Casualty insurance. She received her insurance license in 2000, her passion and focus in her insurance career has been on fulfilling the customer’s needs and providing excellent customer service.
Cheryl is a native of the Twin Cities area and currently lives in Lakeville with her husband John. They enjoy time with family (especially grandchildren) and friends. They are active in their church and among other things they give back by volunteering in the food distribution every week.
Cheryl values education and has a BA degree in management and a BS degree in business from Montreat College in North Carolina. She earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation (CISR) in 2020 and plans on continuing and maintaining her education in the insurance field.
Jessica Tilford, CISR,
Primary Manager
Jessica joined Butler & Associates as an Account Manager in January 2023, bringing a background in financial services and a strong commitment to excellent client service. Her determination, attention to detail, and drive to continually improve have helped make her transition into the insurance industry a natural fit.
Originally from Upstate New York, Jessica has lived in New York, Louisiana, Tennessee, Minnesota, and now Michigan. She graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester in 2018 with a B.A. in Psychology and recently purchased her first home in Michigan, where she lives with her husband, Michael, and their dog, Bauer.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys hiking, camping, playing with Bauer, exploring breweries, and attending hockey and football games. She especially enjoys spending fall in Northern Michigan. An avid shopper, Jessica loves finding a great deal but believes quality service and a quality product matter more than price.
